AUG 4, 2019 OCONOMOWOC, WI - W7 Productions, a company that promotes Wisconsin high school girls' athletics and live streams over 100 high school girls' sporting events each year, has announced changes to their annual fundraiser.

Each spring W7 operates a fundraiser to help support its mission of promoting and elevating girls' athletics in Wisconsin.  When individuals/organizations make a contribution they list the high school they wish to have their contribution counted toward and at the end of the fundraiser the overall highest contributing high school becomes the W7 "Home School" for the following year.

Being the W7 Home School carries the following benefits:

  • 25% of all live streamed games in the academic year will include the W7 Home School
  • School specific W7 branding for broadcasts
  • Meeting with high school athletic director and girls' coaches to strategize how to continue elevating their programs girls' athletics.

W7 is announcing the following changes to the 2020-21 fundraiser that will conclude on March 31, 2020.

  • Donations and purchases (including game videos, documentary projects, targeted events and W7 Plus subscriber fees) made from the entire previous year will now be counted toward the fundraiser (April 15, 2019 - March 31, 2020)
  • Sponsors will have the option to designate a high school to have their sponsorship fees applied
  • The fundraiser for each year will conclude at 11:59pm on March 31.

"We are excited about the changes we have made to our fundraiser because it makes sure that all donations and purchases are included throughout the year, not just a two week period" said Gary Wipperman, owner of W7 Productions.  "As in previous years we still are certain the final two weeks of the fundraiser will be  an exciting time and the final hour is always an adventure as we determine our home school for the next year.  We are so grateful to our community for their support of W7 and girls' athletics in our state.   We have so many wonderful supporters and we are blessed to continue our mission of promoting girls' athletics and maintain our vision of doing everything we do for the girls."

The announcement of the 2020-21 W7 Home School will made in the gymnasium of the winning school on Wednesday April 1, 2020 at 6:45am. The announcement will be live streamed on all W7 social media pages and the W7 website. All female athletes, coaches, and parents are invited to attend.

The 2019 fundraiser for W7 raised over $12,000 and the 2019-20 W7 Home School is Slinger High School.   The 2018 fundraiser brought in just over $6,000 and the 2018-19 W7 Home School was Brookfield Central High School.  The proceeds from the fundraiser are used for new equipment, compensation for staff, reimbursement of expenses, and maintenance associated with software licensing and the W7 website.
